Ok, I know I’m displaying stereotypical ‘lastminute.com‘ student behaviour by leaving it to deadline before setting up this blog, but I do have a good reason – honest!

I have just gone through one of life’s traumas – moving home! This little event has not only left me physically and emotionally hysterical, I have been without access to any form of personal laptop, internet and – quite honestly lacking the energy – to set up this blog.

That doesn’t mean I’ve been blissfully ignoring the task ahead of me for the past two weeks. I admit that I was sceptical when Richard Baileywas setting our task and that I didn’t really think I would be able to write anything of interest or use to anyone. But, in fact, my mind has been brimming with subjects and anecdotes since we were first given this assignment and I’ve actually been quite looking forward to having an excuse to surf the internet for the next three months. And who cares if no-one pays attention, don’t most people write these things for themselves??

So, the brownie in me promises to keep this blog running for the next few months, although I apologise in advance for my ramblings!

  1. Worth the wait! And I’m relieved not to be the only student at the (Ivy League) university of lastminute.com – I just posted tonight, too! Hope you’ve settled into your new home OK.

  2. Worth waiting for: I love the blog title!

    Hi Lee

Its not only external customer service our organisations have to think about – even trying to get a hold of (let alone get an answer out of) people in my own organisation can be very frustating!! Last week I was direct to P56 of a 110 page document to get information on a subject – only to have to go back to the person to ask them to explain it – back to Deborah’s comments about Gvt gobbleydegook!!

Think I missed a good weekend – but don’t think I’ll be starting a blog to keep up with the rest of you!

PS – So glad I haven’t moved house in the last 20 years!
